Miquel Sitjar has been deploying M2M networks and developing Geospatial Data Analysis applications for over 15 years.

In 2007 he started working for MSF Spain in Uganda, and both his experience in telecommunications/software development and humanitarian aid led him to start working on different ways to use mobile technologies to improve patient care and education.

In 2008 he joined the Johns Hopkins Center for Clinical Global Health Education to start and manage the PEPFAR Distance Learning Initiative. One of his main projects is called eMOCHA, a system that uses smartphones, and their multimedia capabilities, as a learning tool and as a platform for data collection in the field.
