Quality research calls for networking
The IDIBAPS takes part in many national and international biomedical research initiatives. Science depends increasingly on networking and we need to coordinate the efforts of leading centres around the world. This section describes some of the most important initiatives in which IDIBAPS researchers play a leading role.

Ministry of Economía y Competitividad
IDIBAPS is fully involved in the new Spanish cooperative research structure: CIBERs, RETICs and ERDF Projects.

Large research projects aimed at consolidating large European centres. IDIBAPS coordinates 13 European projects and participates in more than 40.

The Catalan government is one of the member institutions of IDIBAPS. Its institutional, political and financial support is essential.
